I am Harlow. I design things that have to hold up.
Independent since 2022, in Copenhagen, working with founders and small teams who would rather have one considered answer than three safe ones.
A short version
I have been designing for eleven years — four of them in-house at a fintech, three in a studio doing books, and the last four on my own. What has stayed constant is a preference for work that has to survive contact with reality: a label that gets printed 40,000 times, a screen someone opens while stressed, a system a junior designer has to operate after I have gone.
I take one project at a time. That is partly temperament and partly arithmetic — the middle stretch of a project, where a direction becomes a system, is the part that suffers when attention is split, and it is also the part that decides whether the work lasts.

The practical questions
What does a project usually cost?
Identity work starts around €18,000 and a full site sits between €24,000 and €45,000 depending on how many templates it needs. I quote a fixed price after the first conversation, not an hourly rate.
How long will it take?
Six to ten weeks for most of it. I run one project at a time, so the timeline you get is the timeline you get — there is nothing queued behind you.
Do you work with engineers, or do you build it?
Both. I build marketing sites myself and hand production apps to your team as components with the states already drawn. I would rather draw the empty state than argue about it later.
Can you take on something small?
Sometimes. A landing page, a type system, or a week of art direction all work well as a first project. Send the details and I will say yes or no within two days.
Got something you want made properly?
Tell me what it is, when it needs to exist, and what you have tried already. I answer every email within two days, including the ones I have to say no to.
